As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Mena may be the town that has a little bit of everything but that doesn’t mean every adventure has to happen within city limits. Hanson’s Wolfpen Cabins & RV will be your perfect retreat in the Ouachita National Forest, just south of Mena. Pick a cabin or campsite and get ready to hit the trails!
Hanson's Camp is a gateway to adventure in the Ouachita National Forest. The 22 acre campground has a variety of lodging options and accessibility to just about every recreational activity you'd ever want!
Even the largest motorhome will fit comfortably in one of the Hanson's 13 creekside RV sites. Guests will also have plenty of parking for their ATVs and mountain bikes.

If you didn't come with an RV you could check into one of the cabins instead.
Hanson's Camp includes four cabins that are all climate controlled with full kitchens and baths. Rates are between $99-125 (depending on cabin size) with a two-night minimum. Whichever cabin you choose will be your new home-away-from-home as you take on the thrilling recreational activities throughout your stay.
The atmosphere is rustically cute but not at all cramped. The four cabins can hold between 4 - 8 people depending on which one you choose. The upstairs loft ensures everyone can sleep comfortably. If you'd like to go ahead and check the cabins' availability then head here.
The view from the cabins will inspire you to get out and explore.
Which is good since there's so much to do! In addition to ATV trails, this area also has hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, fishing, horseback riding, rock climbing, and even ziplining nearby.
After your R&R at camp you should play on the trails of Wolf Pen Gap.
The close proximity to Wolf Pen Gap is a huge reason why Hanson's Camp is so popular. Not only do you get a relaxing spot in the forest but you're also right on the border of 200+ miles of trails! Wolf Pen Gap Trails Complex is a labyrinth for ATV and OHV exploring.
The creeks around Wolf Pen have swimming holes, waterfalls, and pristine beauty. They're not just for trail blazing!
The experiences and adventures are endless around this area! Be sure to take time to plan out your family's perfect trip by exploring the Hanson's Camp Resource Page.
