Michelle's life is a colorful map of exploration and adventure. From the iconic streets of New York to the sunny shores of Florida, the jagged coast of Maine to the rugged terrain of Montana, she's been fortunate to call some of America's most beautiful states home. Beyond the U.S., Michelle's wanderlust has taken her on a motorcycle journey through India, led her to teach English in Hanoi, and saw her studying Spanish in Guatemala. Michelle graduated with a communications degree from the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and in addition to a career in advertising has worked with OnlyInYourState since 2016, where her love for travel and storytelling converges. Alongside writing and exploring, Michelle finds joy in photography, staying active, and time with her family.

The sounds of summer are just about here. And by that we mean lapping lake water against the shore, laughing kids having fun, and the ch-ching of the local ice cream shop cash register. That, to us, is what summer in Maine is all about. That and getting out on the water! The next time you’re looking for a fun outdoor activity, consider renting a kayak to enjoy a full or half-day on one of our favorite lakes in the land!
Sebago Trails Paddling Co. is open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. They offer a variety of rentals and tours that will allow you to enjoy the lake (and the overall area!) in more ways than you can dream. Check out their website for more information including rates. You can also follow them on Facebook. They can be reached on 207-894-4696.
