If there’s one thing you can count on in Nebraska, it’s finding delicious steaks. And when a steakhouse serves up great food with a smile, you can bet that we’ll be back again and again. That’s why Farmer Brown’s Steakhouse has been pleasing palates for more than 50 years, and it may just continue doing so for another 50.
Farmer Brown's is located in Waterloo, on the western edge of the Omaha metro area.
The restaurant opened back in 1964 and has been filling hungry bellies ever since. The simple but pleasant decor and family-friendly atmosphere make this a must-visit for steak lovers of all ages and tastes.
Bring your appetite when you visit! The portions are huge and you'll want to try as many dishes as possible. Doesn't this shrimp cocktail appetizer look divine?
The full bar is ready to serve up your favorite adult beverage. The bloody Mary is a perennial favorite, but you can never go wrong with one of Farmer Brown's old fashioned.
As tempting as it may be to focus on the steaks, you'll want to be sure to save a little room for the delicious sides. The freshly-baked bread is worth a trip all on its own.
If you're not feeling like a steak dinner when you visit, you can also find plenty of non-steak menu options. Pork chops, fried chicken, and pasta all make an appearance on this menu.
And if you somehow have room for dessert after that filling dinner, try out one of the handmade desserts, including carrot cake, ice cream sundaes, and rich cheesecake.
