We love our history, and the people who made changes to move things towards the better. To honor all those people who changed things, the unsung heroes of history, this museum aims to teach their stories. Will you come by for a bit of a dive into history you’ve never heard before?
Welcome to a unique spot in Kansas, the Lowell Milken Center for Unsung Heroes.
The center is a nonprofit educational group that helps others educate themselves and discover the stories of unsung heroes who have made a positive impact through history.
The museum has been open since August 2007, and has recently had a new hall put together in 2015 to really pull everything together. Now, it's clean, easy to read, and beautiful.
Telling the stories of those who have been lost to larger figures or otherwise is their main goal, and it's a noble one. The importance of these unsung heroes truly is the difference between life and death for groups of people or even scientific advancements they helped put forth.
This stunning museum is always waiting to add the next history-changing unsung hero, but for now, you can definitely browse the stories of those immortalized here. They've made a difference to history, and the least we could do is honor them here.
