Right now is prime season for picking fresh strawberries and one of the best places to pick away is at Joe’s Farm in Bixby. Not only do they rows and rows of strawberries ripe for pickin’ but they have lots of other veggies, honey, meat, and flowers. Joe's Farm is a certified organic farm in Bixby offering u-pick strawberries in season and other crops for u-pick such as zinnias, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes.
Everything grown by Joe's Farm is organic, so you can rest assured that you aren't eating any harmful pesticides. They have acres and acres for you to explore, before picking your favorites.
And, you won't find bigger heads of lettuce than at Joe's. Choose between Green Leaf, Red Leaf, Romaine, and Green Butter. When they run a sale you can get them for as cheap as $5-6 for two heads.
On top of big, juicy strawberries, you'll also find tomatoes, lettuce, beets, carrots, kale, okra, squash, sweet potatoes, broccoli, zinnias, eggplant, and peppers. Just remember items are grown seasonally, so be sure to check and see what is in season before visiting.
