Ijams Nature Center is a wildlife sanctuary that's located just a handful of minutes from the heart of Knoxville, Tennessee. The center itself hosts a series of exhibits throughout the year, and there's even a museum store for last-minute needs.
The sanctuary itself is made up of 275 acres of pure natural beauty and has more than 10 miles of hiking trails available for adventure-seekers. During the summer months, however, it's the quarry lake that most folks are looking to visit.
