Taking you out towards New York's westernmost corner, Lake View Cemetery in Jamestown covers roughly 150-acres, and among its 43,000 burial sites is the final resting place for Lucille Ball.
While residents of this area of New York may already know about Lucille Ball's grave being here in our neck of the woods, and the fact that she was originally born here back in 1911, not many know that she was actually originally buried in Hollywood's famed Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Originally cremated and buried in Hollywood, Lucille Ball's children ultimately made the decision to have their mother moved to her family's plot in Jamestown several years later.
Today, upon entering the cemetery, you'll find red hearts with Lucille L's in the middle of them on the pavement, leading you right to the family's site and her final resting place.
Those who make their way to Lucille Ball's black granite headstone, you'll almost always find gifts and things left at her grave by fans who have traveled from all over to pay respect to the First Lady of Comedy and the first woman to run her own major television studio.
Forever residing with her brother, parents, and grandparents, visitors of Lake View Cemetery will also find the iconic ‘I Love Lucy’ heart etched on her headstone.
