Of course, Kansas lakes are sometimes only as blue as the sky is, but we love seeing them regardless. This beautiful hike is a loop that leads around to a gorgeous view of Clinton Lake’s crystal blue beauty. As long as the algae isn’t flaring, this lake is a sweet spot for summer photos. Come check out this great little trail!
Welcome to the beautiful Clinton Lake's North Shore Loop trail. This trail visits the beautiful blue waters of the lake, and offers not only lakeside scenery but an adventure inside the treeline.
It runs 2.8 miles, and is pretty popular with hikers in the area. It's rated as moderate, so bring your good outdoor shoes and your walking stick if you have one.
Keep your bug spray around and your socks pulled up, because this trail has lots of brush, stick structures, and natural Kansas bug levels. When have we not gotten bitten when going outside in the summer heat?
The trail is great for people of all ages, but isn't ADA accessible. Dogs are allowed leashed on the trail, but mountain bikes might be tricky in a few areas. Use your best judgment about weather and muddy trails, and enjoy your visit!
