Minnesota is not known for its impressive geological structures. The state isn’t home to soaring mountains, mysterious buttes, or delicate arches. But that doesn’t mean the Land of 10,000 Lakes is free from geologic points of interest. From the pink quartzite cliffs of Blue Mounds State Park to the beautiful Sawtooth Mountains, there are geological wonders throughout the state.
