With COVID-19 sweeping the nation, many Americans are finding themselves suddenly out of a job. Small businesses and restaurants all over the United States have been especially affected. As the city of Anchorage hunkers down, 49th State Brewing Co. has been offering discounted meals to locals who have been laid off, and emergency healthcare workers.
Even though many workers have been temporarily laid off all over the state, there are many companies and businesses that are stepping up and trying to help wherever they can.
Alaskans have been filling in the gap through great charitable works you can see all over social media. 49th State Brewing Co. is one of those generous businesses that is giving back where they can.
Every day, they offer one meal on their specialty menu, Alaskans 4 Alaskans, or their "A4A" menu.
Sides may include a salad, baby carrots, or mixed fruit, among others. This offer is available for carry-out purchases only. However, health and emergency workers are eligible for free delivery!
If you want to work through your quarantine food and want to skip the take out, you can purchase a gift card or any of their merchandise to help them stay afloat during these lean times. You could also call and offer to take care of one of these A4A menu meals so a local who's been laid off doesn't have to pay for it.
This restaurant is also a brewery, and they have many different pickup and takeout options for their delicious beers.
You can order any of your favorite brews in crowlers, growlers, mini-kegs, and bottles. They also have a liquor store on-site, and you can grab something from their small liquor store when you pick up your to-go order!
You can find this awesome menu on their website or Facebook page.
The meal offering changes every day, so make sure to check to see what's available. This awesome restaurant is doing a wonderful job stepping up to help out the city of Anchorage. If you know someone who could benefit from one of these meals, make sure to pass this along!
