Pictured, of course, is Joyland Amusement Park, which was open from 1949 to 2006. The once largest theme park in Kansas featured carnival favorites, such as the Ferris Wheel and bumper cars; as well as high adrenaline rides, like the wooden roller coaster. Today, the once popular destination sits quiet and empty, kept company by the memories of patrons past and a few of its now-rickety attractions:
