If you’re looking for an amazing outdoor adventure in New Castle County, plan a trip to hike through the Brandywine Valley! This beautiful section of Delaware is home to Brandywine Creek State Park, where you’ll find seemingly endless paths to adventure.
Brandywine Creek State Park is a great way to get to know the valley. Founded in 1965, this park has more than 1,000 acres of protected woodlands and offers miles of hiking trails.
This hilly trail follows two babbling brooks. Rocky Run and Hurricane Run wind their way through rock outcroppings and help keep luscious forests and meadows healthy.
On a warm spring day, you might feel like you've discovered Brigadoon! Beautifully wild forests are home to an abundance of critters, so keep your eyes peeled.
The landscape of Brandywine Creek State Park is a far cry from the famous Delaware scenes you'll find on the coast, and it's a wonderful secret locals keep to themselves.
