Springtime marks the beginning of the social season. It’s when the world begins to warm up, and when folks finally have the chance to indulge in a bit of outdoor fun. This spring, Tennessee has a whole list of fabulous festivals that make for the perfect way to get outside after the cozy indulgence of the winter season. Did you know the world's biggest fish fry takes place in Paris, Tennessee every year? This all-you-can-eat festival of indulgences boasts everything from pageants to catfish races and fries up five TONS of fish every year. Will you be joining? This year, it will be held from April 18th to the 25th, 2020.
Dollywood is always a great place to visit, no matter the time of year, but this East Tennessee hot spot is even more fun during the Flower & Food Festival. From May 8th to June 14th, 2020, folks can come and experience topiary structures created by horticultural artists, some reaching up to 14 feet high, throughout the park. There will be special culinary events and in-the-kitchen demonstrations featuring springtime ingredients, and a whole lot of fun for the whole family.
The Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival takes place every April in the heart of the city and boasts a stunning Cherry Blossom Walk and an entire day that's chock full of Japanese cultural events. From music and dance to martial arts demonstrations, you're bound to learn quite a bit about the grand country of Japan. The festival will take place on April 4th, 2020.
Mule Day is a real favorite here in Tennessee! The city of Columbia is known as the "Mule Capital of the World," and this year you can indulge in all the fun of this small town event from April 2nd to the 5th. You'll experience everything from log loading competitions to parades of mules, and with dancing, music and food on the side, it's a festival for folks of all ages.
The West Tennessee Strawberry Festival takes place in Humboldt every year, and it's the largest and longest-running festival in the entire state of Tennessee. From May 3rd to May 9th, 2020, you can experience an art show, a stunning Strawberry Market, live music and entertainment, as well as a fireworks show and parades. It's a grand Tennessee tradition!
