Michelle graduated with a communications degree from the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and in addition to a career in advertising has worked with OnlyInYourState since 2016, where her love for travel and storytelling converges. Alongside writing and exploring, Michelle finds joy in photography, staying active, and time with her family.

We love the history of Maine, but we love it even more when it involves food. When looking for restaurants with history, you might imagine trying to find old homes with fancy white table cloth restaurants inside. There are certainly a lot of those (here’s one to check out), but there are a lot of other ways to enjoy Maine’s food history. Including the spot we’re. talking about today!
Welcome to Micucci Grocery located in Portland. While they carry a ton of things, don't let the name confuse you. They're so much more than a grocery store.
Most importantly, they've been around since 1946! The market was created by Leo and Iris Micucci and generations of the family have run the business ever since. Today you'll find Anna and Rick Micucci at the helm.
Micucci’s Grocery Store is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can learn more about them on their website or by following them on Facebook.
