There are so many burger joints to love in Utah that we could probably spend an entire year visiting them all. Or course, every place does its burgers differently, and you’ll find everything from basic cheeseburgers to gourmet fare with fancy ingredients at burger restaurants across the Beehive State.
Fat Jack’s Tap House offers a great assortment of high-quality burgers, and if you’re a true Utahn, you’re definitely going to want to check out the Mormon Burger.
Fat Jack's Tap House got its start in 2016, and it's a favorite in downtown Salt Lake City.
One of things that sets this burger joint apart is the fact that it sources its ingredients locally. The meat for the burgers and chicken sandwiches comes from Niman Ranch, and the buns come from Vosen's Bakery. The cheese, vegetables, and other ingredients also come from local sources.
The menu includes a variety of different burgers, from the Angry Bleu, which includes smoked bleu cheese, bacon, and hot sauce, to the PB&J Burger topped with creamy peanut butter and grape jelly.

One of the most popular burgers on the menu is Mormon Burger. If you've never tried one, you're missing out! This gourmet gem is topped with pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, Jack'd sauce, bacon...and funeral potatoes.
It's made of hash browns, cheese, and a creamy sauce (recipes vary, but some include cream-of-chicken soup, onions, and toppings like crushed cornflakes or potato chips). It's baked up until it's bubbly, and it's absolutely delicious. The casserole got its name because Mormon women often bring it to the family gathering that occurs at the local church or family's home after a funeral.

There are more than a dozen beers on tap, from local breweries including Epic, Wasatch, Squatters, Uinta, and more. Full-strength bottled beers include varieties like Epic Spiral Jetty and Red Rock Elephino.
