Truth be told, we love a good roadside attraction in Georgia. There are some pretty wild ones that are worth taking a gander at, like these bizarre roadside attractions. But this particular attraction might just take the cake. Barbie Beach in Georgia is as strange as it gets and you have to see this quirky, Americana roadside spot in person to really get a feel for what it’s all about.
In the area outside of Turin, Georgia you’ll find a strange roadside attraction that people drive from all over to take a peek at.
For instance, the scenery gets rearranged in order to match current events or various holidays, from the Final Four playoffs to the Olympics and Halloween.
Two locals of the area, Steve & Linda Quick initially created this sandy beach for Barbies in order to celebrate the Winter Olympics of 2006 that happened to take place in Turin, Italy.
The tradition has been going ever since, as the Quicks change the scene in their front yard every so often so that passersby can get a new experience every time.
Some residents aren’t a big fan of the Barbie Beach, but there are so many other people that drive from all over in order to get glimpse at the madness.
