Established in 2010, Frontier offers one of the most unique dining experiences in the entire state. This northern Illinois restaurant has a hunters' lodge atmosphere and is known for its meat lover's meals.
Each meal comes with a side of hand-cut fries. Guests will definitely want to save room for dessert at this lodge-style restaurant as sweet potato pecan pie and banana chocolate chip bread pudding are made daily.
In addition to the regular menu, there is also the Whole Animal Experience menu that truly makes this place something special for meat lovers. Guests choose from a whole farm-raised pig, wild boar, goat, alligator, or salmon.
Guests also have the option of ordering an antelope leg, shrimp boil, or a trio of the best cuts of Wagyu beef, goat, and boar.
Guests are served sides that pair with each main course and can customize the menu with different desserts and cocktails. This is a truly one-of-a-kind dining experience.
The price of this experience is about $600, but you should definitely bring your friends and family out and make a special occasion of it.
