Unearth An Underrated Local Gem When You Visit Nonna's Neighborhood Eatery In Montana
We’ve seen a lot of exciting new restaurant openings in Missoula in recent years — but when the beloved Buttercup Market and Café closed in early 2019, the locals were devastated. However, that paved the way for Nonna’s Neighborhood Eatery to take over the space, and we couldn’t be happier. The next time you’re in the city, stop in and try something delicious.

The space was purchased by Tadra Stekly, who got to work right away.

Stekly was living in Spokane, Washington at the time, managing a small bar and eatery there. The owner of Buttercup called her and said she'd give her a deal, but she had to act fast. Stekly said yes, moved to Missoula, and never looked back.

The name was created in the spirit of a grandmother's kitchen, meant to be open to anyone and full of tasty, nourishing, delicious food.

While the spirit of Buttercup still remains, Stekly has definitely put her own spin on things.
