There are countless amazing places to eat in this giant and incredible state we live in. But in 2020, these are seven great Alaska restaurants that should be put on your must-see list! With everything from mouthwateringly fresh Alaska seafood, to delicious comfort foods, there’s something for everyone, no matter what they love to eat.

Chair 5 is a staple in the resort town of Girdwood, Alaska. Specializing in your favorite comfort foods like deep dish pizza, and tasty nachos, this place is perfect after a long day of skiing or hiking. They're open seven days a week to satisfy your hunger, from 11:00 a.m. through 10:00 p.m.
In a town far off the beaten path you'll find the Roadside Potatohead. First known for their delicious burritos, you can now find fresh Copper River salmon with preparations that change daily. Grab a local brew on draft, and sit outside and enjoy the midnight sun in the gorgeous town of McCarthy. If you don't want to drive sixty miles down a dirt road, visit their sister restaurant, The Roadside Potatohead Too, in Valdez, Alaska.
Many Alaskans try Talkeetna Spinach Bread for the first time at the Alaska State Fair. But this cool Airstream trailer calls Talkeetna, Alaska home. Even though they only offer a limited menu, everything that comes out of this restaurant is delicious. Along with their staples of spinach bread, blueberry rhubarb crisp, and Brazilian Limeade, you can try one of their specials or a breakfast burrito that's served every morning. They're open Monday through Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m., and on Sundays 9:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.
Ludvig's Bistro is a gem hiding out in Sitka, Alaska. Serving incredible rustic Mediterranean dishes like Duck Confit with Cherry Port Compote, and Fried Alaskan Rockfish, you will enjoy every bite of your meal! Pair any of their tasty food with a glass off of their swoon worthy wine list, and try some Spanish and Italian wines that taste beautifully with their culinary creations. Open May through September, visit them seven days a week from 4:30 p.m. through 9:00 p.m.
The Saltry is well known, and for good reason. With delectable dishes like their Seafood Chowder with Smoked Salmon Sandwich, their menu is Alaskan gourmet cuisine. It's located in a stunning location across Kachemak Bay from Homer in Halibut Cove. This restaurant is routinely written up in magazines like the New York Times! Visit them seven days a week during the summer, from 1:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m.
6. Twisted Fish Company Alaskan Grill, Juneau, Alaska
Twisted Fish Company Alaskan Grill in Juneau, Alaska serves up fresh Alaskan seafood right on the waterfront. Every summer, enjoy stunning views while dining on preparations of all of your favorite seafoods. Sip on a delicious wine from their list, or enjoy an Alaskan draft beer from their tap selection. The Blue Roof Bistro in Fairbanks, Alaska has a fun, relaxed atmosphere, and a beautiful solarium for you to dine in on those extra chilly days. You can get flatbreads, light bites, sandwiches, and more all crafted out of fresh ingredients and bold flavors. Dine on these culinary delights Monday through Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. through 8:00 p.m.
