When the Toot-N-Tell in Garner, North Carolina, opened its doors in 1946, the now-timeless restaurant was a drive-in with friendly car hop service. Nearly 75 years later, both the menu and the building have grown to include more items – as well as a buffet, famous for its home-cooked goodness. The next time you’re in Raleigh, head 15 minutes south of downtown to experience the mouthwatering flavors found at this time-honored restaurant.
The Toot-N-Tell is located less than a mile from US 70 at the corner of Benson Road and West Garner Road in the town of Garner.
Ample parking is available right outside the restaurant, which has grown over the years to include plenty of space. So, don't be discouraged when you pull up and see a TON of cars outside.
Of course, guests always have the option of ordering from the delicious items available on the menu at Toot-N-Tell — but it's the buffet that most people come for.
Monday through Thursday, enjoy the home-cooked Country Bar, including fried chicken, ooey-gooey mac and cheese, steamed cabbage, and more. The Country Bar is also available on Friday, but only until 4 p.m.

On Friday and Saturday evenings (after 4 p.m.) the buffet features a combination of seafood specials and Toot-N-Tell's famous fried chicken, among other country favorites.
The food here is comparable to what grandma used to make. There's really something for everyone on this affordably-priced buffet that ranges from $8.55- $9.55/person, depending upon the day.
Sunday afternoons are probably the most crowded and it's easy to see why when many people are already out and about making their way home from church services.
If you want to avoid the crowd on a Sunday, then get up and head over in the morning when a breakfast bar is filled with traditional breakfast items. The breakfast bar is also available on Saturday mornings!
