When the weather gets cold and snowy in Utah, it’s time to find a cozy spot that serves up tasty comfort food. Pig & A Jelly Jar has a menu packed full of Southern-inspired fare that will warm you up from the inside out.
Pig & A Jelly Jar got its start back in 2012, and it quickly became a comfort food favorite in Salt Lake City. Since then, the restaurant has opened two additional locations in Holladay and Ogden.
All three locations are eclectic and cozy, with plenty of seating, but if you're planning on hitting up this place for weekend brunch, plan on a bit of a wait - it's a popular spot!
Brunch is a favorite here, but Pig & A Jelly Jar is also open for weekday breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The chicken and waffles is especially popular.
Other tasty breakfast food faves include ham hash (shown here), an assortment of three-egg scrambles, and house specialties like the Creole breakfast. You can get breakfast here all day long!
Lunch options include delicious salads and sandwiches like the grilled chicken and the bbq pork sandwich. Each one is handcrafted with the highest quality ingredients, many sourced locally.
Carnivores will love the Pig Burger, made with grass-fed beef free of hormones and antibiotics. It's dressed with bacon onion jam and bleu cheese.
Whether you're brunching or dining for lunch or dinner, you'll want to pair your meal with a craft beer, glass of wine, or bubbly concoctions like Strawberry Smash, Pig Punch, or Pride Punch.
Finish off your meal with an order of beignets, served with blueberry lavender jam.
Visit all three locations of Pig & A Jelly Jar seven days a week. They're open Monday through Wednesday 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m, Thursday through Sunday 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Check out Pig & A Jelly Jar’s website to see its full menu, then head on over to its Facebook page for even more mouthwatering comfort food photos.
If you’re looking for a place with tasty comfort food in northern Utah, you’ll want to visit the historic Bluebird Restaurant, where you can still sit up at the original soda fountain .
