Picture a few scenarios. First, you had all year to prepare and somehow Thanksgiving is here and plans are not made. Or, maybe you are the planning type, but you’re on the verge of a nervous breakdown with family on the way and you’re ready to just forget the whole thing. Or, perhaps you love Thanksgiving so much that you want to keep things going once it’s over. Whatever your feelings around this particular holiday, we have a great idea. There’s a Thanksgiving pizza and it’s going to change the way you view turkey day!
OTTO has locations throughout Maine — and even a few in Massachusetts! — and it's not hard to see why they've become so popular. Their everyday pies and slices are great, but its the monthly specials we always look forward to.
And each month, the menu is even more exciting with the addition of one special pie. Each one is unique and typically complements. September's pie featured spinach, peppadew pepper, goat cheese & herb.
The array of special toppings ensures that each bite tastes like a Thanksgiving meal. The only difference is that you don't have to roast a bird or talk politics with the fam while you dig into this.
Can't make it in time before the December special comes out? Not to worry. You can always get one more taste of autumn with the year-round butternut squash, ricotta, and cranberry pie.
Otto has seven locations in Maine and six in Massachusetts, which you can view here. The location on Congress Street in Portland is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Follow them on Facebook to keep track of all their special pies and events. You can reach them on 207-358-7870.
When Thanksgiving is over, get your sights set on Christmas by planning a trip to Kennebunk when hundreds of Santas descend upon the town during the Shipyard Seaside Santa Dash.
