Alaska may have a shorter history than most of the states in America, but the history we do have is fascinating! Come learn about the area’s interesting history during your stay in the gorgeous Colony Inn. Cozy up in their beautiful building in downtown Palmer, Alaska!
The Colony Inn was built during President Roosevelt's New Deal Program.
Erected in 1935, the Matanuska Colony Project brought over 200 families from the Midwest to create a farming community in beautiful Palmer, Alaska. This building was originally created as a teacher's dormitory!
The Inn boasts five different types of rooms you can book.
Enjoy a queen, full, or twin sized room during your travels here. Or book a larger room for more space in one of their Queen Suite Room or Family Suite!

They also have a stunning cafe on site in the building, called the Auntie's Corner Cafe.
