The master behind this magic is Ty Volz. His passion for character creation and costumer community has enabled Spotlight Characters to develop into a multifaceted treasure trove of costuming services.
Not only is he the youngest board member in the National Costumers Association, he's also worked for Disney! The inspiration for Spotlight Characters began with a family trunk filled with handmade costumes. Volz comes from a family of theatre performers and he has certainly turned that background into a successful local business.

The shop has more than 2,000 costumes to peruse for all ages and sizes.
These outfits have so much more story behind them than a store-bought bagged costume. Many of the pieces are handmade in shop or have local history. You'll come across authentic period pieces with handcrafted beading and stitching as well current blockbuster characters that look like they just came off set.
