Inside the state of New York, you can find more than 7 million acres of gorgeous farmland. While you may be quick to envision rural areas of the Empire State that are more popularly known for their farmland, if you head all the way up north to Jefferson County you can actually discover one of the most charming farms in the whole state. Almost seeming too good to be true, see why there’s nothing quite like visiting our very own Old McDonald’s Farm.
Way up north where you're not too far from the shores of Lake Ontario in Jefferson County, New Yorkers can uncover a charming farm that you won't believe is actually real.
From cows and pigs with names inspired by your favorite celebrities, to camels and goats, you'll find all the animals from your childhood nursery rhyme living on Old McDonald's Farm in Sackets Harbor.
Once you're done mingling with all the animals and have ventured through the farm's mazes, you can head inside to the Lazy Cow Cafe to grab something tasty to eat.
The farm also has its own little shop where you can pick up souvenirs and all sorts of other goods, making it nearly impossible to walk away from this charming farm empty handed.
Whether you're ready to meet all the animals of the farm, want to play mini golf, and enjoy a pony ride or you're wanting to take a dairy tour of the farm to learn more about how things work around here, there are so many different ways to enjoy this one destination.
