All aboard the Ghost Train for a ghoulishly fun evening you’ll never forget! During Halloween, North Carolina’s Wild West theme park, Tweetsie Railroad, transforms into a family-oriented nighttime spooktacular that includes trick-or-treating, live shows, costumed street performers, a haunted house, and of course, a haunted train ride. The annual Ghost Train event at Tweetsie is a bit of safe but scary fun the whole family can enjoy.

Generations of kids from all over the state and Southeast grew up visiting Tweetsie Railroad, which first opened in 1957. The 200-acre park is open seasonally from April to December and hosts a variety of special events throughout the year. And the Ghost Train may be the most popular of them all.

Ghost Train is a devilishly fun time and for that reason, tickets usually sell out quickly for the special event.
The Ghost Train event is offered on select nights in September and October. The remaining dates for 2019 are September 27-28, October 4-5, 11-12, 18-19, and 25-26.

The streets come alive with special dance performances by costumed dancers.
There's no age limit, so Mom and Dad can trick or treat, too. Other fun events include amusement rides at the Creepy Carnival, a Haunted House, a trip through the Freaky Forest, and a jaunt through the Light Tunnel to a spooky boneyard illuminated by black light on the other side.
Each Ghost Train admission to Tweetsie Railroad includes a ride on the spooky Ghost Train.
