She loves small-town life and currently enjoys living on a small farm in the ND prairie. The leaves are changing across North Dakota and what better place to see the beautiful colors than a state park? This particular state park has plenty of trees, riverside views, and lots of trails and accommodations so you can have the ultimate fall foliage getaway. It won’t be long before the leaves start to fall, so you’ll definitely want to get there soon.
Cross Ranch State Park is a park near Center, North Dakota with absolutely gorgeous fall foliage this time of year.
The park is located on an undeveloped edge of the Missouri River — one of the last free-flowing sections — and has forests full of cottonwoods, ash trees, and more, that become a spectacular array of color.
With over 13 miles of trails and access to a 5,000-acre nature preserve, you could spend hours here hiking through the golds, reds, and yellows of the fall colors.
Extend your visit for an entire weekend in one of the park's cabins, yurts, at the campgrounds, or even in a tipi. The yurts are especially fun to experience this time of year, being perfectly nestled in the trees.
Cross Ranch State Park and its trails are open year-round. Learn more about the park by clicking here.
