If there is one thing that Colorado does right (aside from jaw-dropping nature, green chile, and our excellent people, of course!), it is holidays. From elaborate parades for nearly every event to exciting tree lightings and the scariest of scary haunted houses , if you love to celebrate, the Centennial State is the place to be. Are the most frightening of haunted houses not your thing? No worries, as you can also celebrate Halloween in Colorado by visiting this Jack-O-Lantern Trail:
Taking place on Saturday, October 26, 2019, is the annual Jack-O-Lantern Trail, which features hundreds of uniquely decorated pumpkins lighting a brilliant path.
Located at the Fountain Creek Nature Center in Fountain, the day kicks off with a fun pumpkin carving party from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., which comes complete with a pre-scooped pumpkin, patterns, and all the tools you need to create your masterpiece!
The cost for your pre-scooped pumpkin and other supplies is $5 per person.
Once your pumpkin is carved, you will leave it off with the staff, who will set it along the Jack-O-Lantern Trail, which runs that same day from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Admission to the highly anticipated Jack-O-Lantern Trail is $4 for Nature Center members and $5 for non-members and includes your walk along the trail, plus marshmallow roasting and crafts.
What is a Halloween celebration without costumes? While it is not mandatory, wearing your costume to the Jack-O-Lantern Trail is strongly encouraged!
Please note: You may pick up your pumpkin and take it home after the trail closes at 7:30 p.m.
