We may be biased but we think that Minnesota has some of the prettiest scenery in the United States. Sure, it’s not a mountain oasis or a beachside paradise, but the Land of 10,000 Lakes is home to a unique mix of landscapes that makes it easy to find beauty.
It’s also easy to see those landscapes up close. There are endless trolley rides, scenic drives, and zipline tours to give you a unique perspective of our beautiful state. There’s even an open air train ride that will take you on a scenic adventure you’ll never forget! Here’s what you need to know:
The Lake Superior & Mississippi Railroad is a beautiful line that travels around Duluth, Minnesota. Address: 6930 Fremont Street, Duluth, MN 55807.
And for the open-air experience, there is the safari car. Originally used to transport goods back in the mid-20th century, it now holds benches for sightseers!
And when you ride the LS&M, there are plenty of sights to see - especially in the safari car. For example, the railroad crosses the beautiful St. Louis River.
The open air safari car will give you an up-close view of it all. Excursions are only available on weekends, and they fill up fast, so be sure to book your trip soon!
Tickets for this open air train ride are $18 for adults and $8 for children ages 4-12. Check out the website to book your visit, and follow the Facebook page to see what’s new!
