One of our favorite excuses to head out on this trail is to escape from the blistering heat on a hot SoCal day as you'll be surrounded by a canopy of trees along the trail. It's like having your very own blanket of shade to protect you from the hot SoCal sun.
Although it may be tempting to carve out your own path when you head out on this hike, make sure to stay on the designated Blue Ridge Trail for safety reasons and to prevent erosion of the area.
