The calendar doesn’t quite admit that fall is here but I’m sure you can already feel that slight chill in the air. This time of year is one of change: the temperatures steadily drop and the leaves shift to red and orange hues. But it is also when the orchards on local farms are brimming with juicy produce ready to eat.

You’ll find plenty of fantastic little places where you can pick your own fruits and veggies this time of year, but there is one farm that stole our hearts.

Welcome to Applecrest Farm Orchards, New Hampshire’s oldest, largest apple orchard.

The same family has been operating the farm for four generations, making it also one of the oldest orchards in the country. Known best for its apples, the farm also grows and harvests peaches, berries, and pumpkins.
The apple-picking season typically runs from mid-August through the month of October, so now is just the right time!

The farm boasts a whopping 220 acres of apple orchards featuring dozens of apple varieties. McIntosh, Gala, Golden Delicious, and Fuji are just a few of the options you’ll find while perusing the orchards.
