While Labor Day might be upon us, the summer isn’t really over just yet. In fact, we’d argue that the excitement for warm weather and sunshine is at its peak right about now. There’s nothing like the threat of winter to get us out of the house and enjoying all the last minute things we know we’ll be missing in just a few months. If you’re doing the same thing, head to this lake beach in New Hampshire. It’s got so much sand and it might just be better than the ocean beach!
Ellacoya State Park is open full time from early June through September 2nd, 2019. After that the beach and park are unstaffed. The fee is $5 for adults and $2 for kids ages 6 through 11. There’s also RV camping available. You can learn more on the official website here. For answers to more questions you can reach them on 603-293-7821. Address: 266 Scenic Road, Gilford, NH 03246.
Lakes in New Hampshire don’t have to be all about the swimming. Check out this lake, the clearest in the state, for more outdoors fun in the Granite State.
