New Jersey is a very diverse state but some of the stereotypes are true…we’ve got the second-highest Italian population (second only to New York) in the United States. As of the 2000 census, the Garden State was home to over 1.5 million Italian-Americans, making up 17.9% of our population. For comparison, New York is home to 2.7 million Italian-Americans, but that’s only 14.4% of their population. Many of us are proud of our Italian heritage and the non-Italians among us will often agree that Italian food is fantastic. Luckily, quality Italian food can be found all over the state. One of the best places to find it (and other Mediterranean foods) is at this amazing market…
For your convenience, they even deliver! Although, I’d rather give them a visit in person. Address: 410 S Dean Street, Englewood, NJ, 07631. For more authentic Italian eats in New Jersey, check out this cafe.
