1. Huntsville Depot Museum - Huntsville
The Huntsville Depot, which was completed in 1860, is Alabama's oldest surviving railroad depot. It's also one of the oldest railroad depots in the United States. 2. Cherokee Rock Village - Leesburg
Cherokee Rock Village covers approximately 200 acres and is one of the best rock climbing destinations in the United States. Some of the boulders are believed to be around 300 million years old. Cherokee Rock Village is best known for its breathtaking views.

3. Don Kresge Memorial Radio Museum - Birmingham

4. Old Alabama Town - Montgomery
Old Alabama Town is a unique historical village that features a great collection of 19th and early 20th century homes and buildings. 5. Old Courthouse Museum - Monroeville
The courtroom above actually inspired the fictional courtroom in Harper Lee's novel "To Kill a Mockingbird," and later the film. Harper Lee was from Monroeville and her father practiced law in this actual courtroom. The Old Courthouse Museum features several exhibits, and visitors are allowed to tour the courtroom. 6. Old Cahawba Archaeological Park - Orrville
Old Cahawba, which is also referred to as Cahawba and Cahaba, was Alabama's first state capital (1820-1826). 7. Orr Park - Montevallo
