Connecticut has oodles of towns and villages, each with their own attractions and histories. Today’s feature focuses on a historic lobstering village located on the shoreline. Noank is comprised of just 2.2 square miles, and only 1.5 of it is land. Talk about tiny! Don’t let the size of this coastal community fool you, it’s definitely a place you’ll want to spend some time in.
Noank has a history firmly rooted in the shipbuilding, fishing, and lobstering industries. With its small size, you can explore the village on foot while enjoying the waterfront scenery.
The tiny village is tucked along the coast in between Mystic and Groton. While the neighboring towns are often seen as prime tourist destinations, Noank has plenty to offer its visitors.

For a decadent lobster breakfast head to Carson's Store. Located in a landmark building dating back to 1907, this eatery has a retro decor and serves delicious breakfast and lunch.
