There’s nothing better on a hot summer day than splashing around in the water. In Rhode Island, you might be tempted to head to one of our many gorgeous beaches to spend time in the surf. But there’s a lesser-known natural waterpark, tucked away in the quieter northwest corner of the state, that’s definitely worth a visit. Let’s check it out:
Nestled away in the town of Burrillville, you'll find Spring Lake Beach. It offers 750 feet of sandy beachfront on a freshwater lake, making an ideal spot to spend a summer day.
Swimming is the primary attraction at Spring Lake Beach but there are many other activities to keep the kids busy at this family-friendly spot. A waterslide and diving dock is just the beginning of the low-key attractions.
Right on the beach, you'll find the Beach Shoppe where you can sign out games like badminton, volleyball, bean bag toss, hula hoops, and more. The concession stand has delicious fried foods and plenty of ice cream so there's no need to lug a cooler to the beach.
