This northern Louisiana park features something for everyone, so bring the whole family out for a day or two of epic outdoor adventures.
Located in Bastrop, Louisiana, Chemin-A-Haut State Park is the oldest state park in Louisiana.
Much of the park is situated on a high bluff that overlooks the bayou, giving visitors a lovely sweeping view of this waterway. "Chemin-A-Haut" means "high road" in French, which was the route used by Native Americans many years ago.
