Craving a wildly good time? Consider paying a visit to Shalom Wildlife. Dubbed “America’s largest petting zoo,” it covers 100 acres and is home to more than 400 animals! But that’s not all. There are also unique exhibits, a Native American artifact museum, and an on-site eatery. Take a look:
Located in West Bend, Shalom Wildlife offers visitors the chance to experience nature at its finest.
Offering a unique twist on the typical zoo experience, the grounds of Shalom Wildlife are barely developed, so it’s as if you’re viewing the animals in their natural habitats.
Herds of bison, deer, elk, and wild sheep, wolves, cougars, bears, zebras, and camels are just a few of the animals you’ll see as you navigate the zoo.
With so much to see and do, you can easily spend an entire day at Shalom Wildlife. Luckily, the zoo has a restaurant – Grizzly Grill, where you can fill up on burgers, wraps, sandwiches, and more.
Shalom Wildlife is open seasonally. During the spring/summer (April 27th – Labor Day), it’s open daily 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. In the fall (September 3 – November 3), it’s open Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday – Sunday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information, call (262) 338-1310. You can also visit the Shalom Wildlife website or Facebook page.
Address: 1901 Shalom Drive, West Bend, WI, 53090
