Hiding in the heart of Old Town Dayton is a beautiful historic structure that looks straight out of the Old West. Originally constructed all the way back in 1860, the building has been home to a variety of businesses. Today, it's where you'll find Js' Old Town Bistro.
Js' Bistro opened to the public in 2007. Before it was an Italian restaurant, the 159-year-old structure was initially home to a general store, several saloons, restaurants, and even an ice cream parlor. There's definitely a lot of history hiding in this stone and timber building!
It was perhaps most famous for once containing the Old Corner Bar, which was said to be the hangout of John Huston, Marilyn Monroe, and Arthur Miller when they were filming "The Misfits" in 1960.
Today, the restaurant boasts a cozy and family-friendly atmosphere. They specialize in tasty Italian-style dishes, such as Chicken Parmesan, Braised Short Ribs, Lasagna, Eggplant Parmesan, and so much more.
