As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Go back in time to 2008, when the world found out that everything we knew about vampires was wrong. It turns out that they’re not all blood-thirsty bad guys, and that sunlight doesn’t really kill them…it just makes them sparkle. Author Stephanie Meyer’s version of vampires and their way of life (or death) was different than the norm, and it was pretty popular all over the country. Though the story was set in the state of Washington, we Oregonians instantly recognized several film locations right here in the Beaver State.
The house that Bella Swan shares with her father was actually right here in Oregon, and it’s recently been sold and turned into an Airbnb where you can spend the night. We bet you can’t guess the theme of this little rental house…
If you saw the original "Twilight" movie from 2008, you'll probably recognize this home as the place where Bella Swan and her dad lived.
The story was set in Forks, Washington, but the Swan house is located in St. Helens, Oregon.
This home has been turned into an Airbnb rental, and you can stay here overnight. If you're a "Twilight" fan, you'll feel like you just stepped into Charlie and Bella Swan's home.
This beautiful home was built in the 1930s, and it's been outfitted with everything you need for a comfortable stay. You'll find many of the actual items used on the film set here, like the dining table in the kitchen.
When you rent this house for a minimum two-night stay, you might have fun recreating scenes from the movie all throughout the house. Or not. It's a cozy little abode either way.
Stay overnight in Bella's bedroom...and enjoy the life-sized cutout of actress Kristen Stewart. If you don't want to be startled at night, you might want to put her in a closet at bedtime.
She looks very concerned here, doesn't she? Perhaps she just found out that the hot new guy at her high school is really a 108-year-old vampire who has designs to whisk her away, turn her into a sparkle vampire, and marry her so they can have sparkle babies.
Fans of "Twilight" remember Jacob, Bella's friend who was a werewolf (because why stick to vampires when you can throw in a pack of werewolves, too?). There's a life-sized cardboard cut-out of him in the Jacob Black Guest Room.
You'll notice that Jacob doesn't look too happy, either. He's probably found out that the girl he likes has just fallen for a 108-year-old vampire, and is plotting to gather his werewolf crew to chase the Cullens through the forest and rip them to shreds. The whole werewolf thing certainly explains Jacob's well-defined muscles, which he didn't likely get at a Planet Fitness in that small town.
The "Twilight" books and movies were wildly successful, with millions of fans worldwide. This home books out several months in advance, so if you want to plan a "Twilight" party, get right on that booking.
Bella and Edward might live forever, but you probably won't, and this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to let your fangirl or fanboy flag fly!
