There are endless adventures in Maryland — you just have to know where to look. Hiding in the eastern shore region, you’ll find a local farm that offers trail rides through scenic woods. Bring the family and enjoy a day with the animals and nature. Nearly all ages are sure to enjoy this unique excursion, so saddle up!
You'll find Holly Ridge Farm Equestrian Center in Willards, Maryland.
The farm is located just minutes away from Ocean City, so you could easily fit a trail ride into your vacation itinerary.
Trail rides are offered year-round, whether you prefer a summer adventure...
...or fall foliage packed views.
Riders must be at least 12 years of age for the trail ride, which lasts for about 1.5 hours and is currently $95 per person. Note that there is also a weight restriction of 225 pounds.
Enjoy winding through the onsite woodland wildlife sanctuary, where you may spot wild turkey, foxes, deer, or even bald eagles.
You'll trek past Pocomoke river waters and towering cypress trees. You may want to bring a camera to capture the sights along this serene oasis.
Helmets are provided but be sure to bring bug spray and wear long pants. Boots are preferred -- and no sandals, for obvious reasons.
In addition to trail rides, Holly Ridge Farm Equestrian Center also offers horseback riding lessons for those interested.
Whether you're local or just visiting the area, consider making a reservation. This Maryland adventure packs nature and fun into one great package. See you at the farm!
