Drive-in theaters are not nearly as common as they once were, but they do still exist. And while we’ve still got a few drive-ins here in Wisconsin, there’s only one left in the northern part of the state. Luckily, it’s a good one. Take a look:
The "last remaining drive-in theater in northern Wisconsin" – otherwise known as Stardust Drive-In Movie Theater - can be found in Chetek.
There’s also a concession stand, where you can stock up on classic movie munchies, like popcorn, candy, and the Stardust’s world famous ¼-lb nacho cheese. The menu also includes some not-so-classic options, like BBQ pork rib, brats, and burgers.
One of the best things about the drive-in is that it offers a much more comfortable viewing experience than traditional theaters. In fact, the Stardust encourages visitors to "wear your pajamas and bring your favorite pillow and blanket; it’s ok here."
