One of the best parts of driving around Arkansas isn’t just the destination but all of the tiny gems you find along the way. Today’s feature, the Timbo Dairy Bar, is one of them. This blink-and-you’ll-miss-it little diner has some of the best old school burgers and shakes around. Let’s cruise down this other route 66 and grab a bite.
Please note, Timbo Dairy Bar has permanently closed.
The Timbo Dairy Bar is one of those places you find by happy accident.
If you're not from the area the chances of you making the trip just for the dairy bar are pretty low. However, you may come across it when driving to an outdoor adventure in the Ozarks or to one of the music festivals in Mountain View. It may not have been your primary destination but after a bite of burger or sip of milkshake, you'll definitely be finding more reasons to visit the tiny town of Timbo.
Address: 6986 Highway 66, Timbo, Arkansas 72680
Navigating the retro letter board will lead you to all kinds of tasty choices.
These no-nonsense made-to-order meals are scrumptious every time they're ordered. To say that the Timbo Dairy Bar is the best in town is true but doesn't quite do it justice since it is the only restaurant in the town. However you rank it, the dairy bar is certainly worth the stop and a return trip (or three) for sure.
That's more than just a plate of fries, that's actually the Horseshoe Burger! You may need a fork to tackle the mess of cheesy fries and bacon but it'll be one of your favorite burgers you've ever tried.
Whether you've ordered a special or just a heaping side of fries, the desserts are the best thing here.
Splurge on a banana split or just order a shake to go. You can't go wrong with their floats either, so it may be best to come back to find which dessert is your favorite.
Timbo Dairy Bar is proof that the destination isn't the most important part of a road trip.
These tiny town diners and drive-ins are what make Arkansas road trips the best! Stop by the Timbo Dairy Bar for lunch Wed - Sun. For full hours and more mouthwatering menu pictures, find the Timbo Dairy Bar's Facebook Page.
