That's because Fisher's Peach Orchard in Greer grows 26 different varieties of peaches.
The first peach trees were planted in the 1930s — long before the concept of pick-your-own was even conceived. Until 1968, when the Fishers opened one of their orchards for u-pick, the family was in the business of growing and packing only.

Today, the business has a thriving fruit stand (with three locations). What's more, you can pick fresh peaches in many varieties as they ripen on the trees at the Fisher Orchard over on Fisher Road all summer long.
It's an activity that's perfect for kids of all ages so pop the little ones in the car and bring them along! There's nothing quite like seeing a smile erupt on the face of a child pulling their first ripe peach off a tree — except maybe watching them take a bite after it's been washed!

In days gone by, in the era before u-pick was conceived, people were only allowed into orchards after all of the best fruit was picked and packaged or boxed for shipment to outside markets. Now we get the cream of the crop!
