Go Horseback Riding Through The Mountains In Arkansas For An Adventure Unlike Any Other

Hiking through the Ozark Mountains is always a fun excursion, but traveling by horseback makes it an Arkansas adventure like no other. One of our favorite places to saddle up is at the Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. This ranch has amazing trails and other activities perfect for a family vacation any time of year.
Gorgeously tucked away along the foothills of the Ozark Mountains resides the Horseshoe Canyon Guest Ranch.
Horseshoe Canyon Ranch is perfectly located halfway between Ponca and Jasper. This area is filled with outdoor adventures from caves to waterfalls. Staying at the ranch is a great starting point to these activities but has its own week's worth of attractions as well.

You'll be able to see many more miles of scenic land by taking one of the ranch's guided horseback tours.
Multiple rides are offered throughout the day, typically one in the morning and another at dusk. The ranch also offers rides to their cookouts for breakfast and supper.
All of the trails are guided but more rugged trails are available to experienced riders. No matter your skill level you'll be leaving Horseshoe Canyon with more knowledge and treasured memories.
Riders need to be at least six years old to enjoy the trails. Ages 6-12 will be required to wear a helmet. Younger equestrian fans can take part in the children's program for a chance to ride ponies closer to the ranch. More information on that can be found right here.
The horseback riding is fantastic but it's not the only thing to do at the ranch.
Horseshoe Canyon is home to the longest, fastest, and highest zip line in the state — the Iron Horse. You'll travel more than 50 mph over the vast canyon. The ranch is also known for its challenging, but fun rock climbing as well.
You don't need to travel far from home to enjoy this memorable adventure.
