Fans of the The Mohicans tree houses in northeast Ohio will be pleased to know that the Toledo area will soon see its own grove of tree houses. Later this year, Oak Openings Preserve Metropark in Swanton will unveil its very own tree house village. With both a common tree house open to the public and private tree houses available to rent, Cannaley Treehouse Village will be unique compared to other tree house getaways in Ohio.
Here’s why this upcoming tree house village belongs at the top of your Ohio bucket list:
Coming soon to Oak Openings Preserve Metropark, the Cannaley Treehouse Village will take your sense of adventure to new heights.
There will be four private tree houses available to rent for overnight getaways, complete with electricity, air conditioning and heat. Two of these tree houses can accommodate 2 guests.
The 4-person and 6-person tree houses will also have composting toilets. Reservations can only be made after the tree house village is officially open via MetroparksToledo.com. For more information, click here.
A canopy walk will link the private tree houses to the common tree house. The common area tree house will be able to seat up to 50 people for events and it will be open to the public during select days and hours.
There will also be a crow's nest and three tent/hammock platforms for camping in the trees!

Planned and built with the help of Nelson Treehouse and Supply of the TV show "Treehouse Masters," the Cannaley Treehouse Village is projected to open by the end of 2019.
