Oak Mountain State Park is located in Pelham. Sprawling nearly 10,000 acres, it's Alabama's largest state park.

Speaking of all ages, Peavine Falls, which is a beautiful spring-fed waterfall, is a popular cooling off spot for both children and adults.
Oak Mountain State Park also has two beaches, one of which is open to the general public. This particular beach is located on Terrace Drive and offers bathrooms and a concession stand (open seasonally) for its guests.
Keep in mind, there's no lifeguard at this beach, which means you'll be swimming at your own risk.
