There’s no better way to ease into summer than by taking a full moon kayak tour in Arkansas! One of the more underrated floating streams, the Cadron Creek, will be the setting for a fascinating tour under the moon. Let’s decorate our canoes in LEDs and see what all this event entails.
About 30 minutes north of Conway is a an excellent river for paddlers - Cadron Creek.
You may have already paddled part of the 200-miles of stream in summers passed. However, in a few weeks there will be an opportunity to see the creek in a different light.
Address: 54 Cargile Laen, Greenbrier, AR 72058
Every year the Cadron Creek Outfitters host a unique event on the water.
Their Annual Full Moon Boating Excursion will be taking place on June 15th, 2019. In addition to the starry-night tour on the creek, the outfitters will also be holding a canoe decorating contest. Whoever has the best LED light show will win a prize.
This full moon earned its name from the Algonquin tribes as a reminder to pick the ripe wild strawberries in the area. In other parts of the world this moon is known as the Full Rose Moon or the Honey Moon.
