Utah’s weather can be pretty fickle – searing heat one day, then cool temperatures and rain the next. When the kids are bored and the weather isn’t ideal for outdoor play, head to the Museum of Natural Curiosity at Thanksgiving Point. This discovery museum is tons of fun for kids of all ages.
A visit to the Museum of Natural Curiosity is the perfect way to spend any day. Gather up the kids, hop in the car, and get ready for a day of discovery. The museum is located at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi.
This huge museum is all about nature and science. Its floor-to-ceiling windows bring the outdoors in, but you'll enjoy the climate-controlled atmosphere when it's too hot or cold outside to play comfortably.
You'll find several different areas set up inside; each one with a different theme. Kidopolis is one of the favorites. It's a miniature city where kids are the boss. They can create music, perform magic tricks, and much more in the shops of this pretend town.
There are plenty of ways to burn off energy, too. Let your kids climb around on the climbing wall, and if the weather's nice they can discover and explore six basic machines in Archimedes Playground.
In the Discovery Garden kids learn all about the natural world around them. From the tiniest tot to pre-teens, your kids are certain to find activities that will keep them engaged and delighted.
Kids ages four and older and even parents will love the Canopy Tour. This ropes course hangs high above the Rainforest, and it's a blast. You'll want to make sure to wear closed-toe shoes to the museum so you can participate, and you'll pay a little bit extra for this feature, but it's well worth it.
