Oregon is well-known for its amazing wines, and you could spend years of your life exploring all of the more than 700 wineries around the state. There are some wineries that offer unique experiences, and we just found one where you can dine and drink wine in a mine shaft!
Welcome to Augustino Estate! The estate has two locations: its main vineyard and treehouse tasting room in O'Brien, and its Big Red Barn tasting room in the Applegate Valley at Grants Pass.
The Big Red Barn in the Applegate Valley hosts tons of great events like live music and horse-drawn wagon rides. Stop by for a tasting Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
Address: 16995 North Applegate Road, Grants Pass, OR, 97527

Augustino Wines consistently wins awards in top competitions. In 2018, the Syrah won Best of Class in the San Fran Chronicle Competition, and the Pinot Noir took home a silver medal. These are just two of the many amazing wines you'll find at Augustino.
The winery hosts Winemaker Dinners in this mine shaft-themed space that's complete with lanterns, barrels of wine, mining implements like shovels and picks, and even a mining cart.
